ExxonMobil Chemical takes product safety very seriously.
Jayflex™ DINP and Jayflex™ DIDP plasticizers have demonstrated their safe use for over 40 years. Consumers and manufacturers can be confident that these plasticizers are safe for use in all of their current applications.
Legislation clearly differentiates between high molecular weight and low molecular weight phthalates. This is important for several reasons:
- DINP and DIDP are high molecular weight phthalates with carbon backbones greater than 8 carbons and have different toxicological profiles than low molecular weight phthalates.
- High molecular weight phthalates (DINP and DIDP) are not classified as reproductive hazards.
- Neither DINP nor DIDP are on the REACH candidate list of substances of very high concern (SVHC).
