When vinyl compounds are in contact with liquid materials, some of the plasticizer maybe removed, or extracted, from the compound. Removal of the plasticizer over a period of time can effect the finished product. Because extraction tendencies depend on the liquid in contact, the following graphs are provided as general guidelines.
