Jayflex plasticizers

Technical Information
Performance Data: Migration

The transfer of plasticizer from its original compound to another is referred to as migration. This action often reduces the finished product service life and can possibly damage the adjacent material.

The rate at which a plasticizer migrates is a function of the plasticizer mobility within the vinyl. Using a branched, higher molecular weight Jayflex plasticizer reduces plasticizer mobility and migration.

Jayflex DINP and Jayflex DIDP are recommended for applications where migration is a mild concern. Jayflex L11P and Jayflex DTDP are added in more severe conditions.

Increased branching and molecular weight reduces plasticizer mobility and migration.
